Delight In Life

Okay so Splitcoast (THE website for SU stampers) has daily challenges. I have been checking them out and finally decided to participate. Here is what I came up with for the layout challenge. The layout challenge required the triangle and the circle layout on the card. I think my card came out kinda good but not real happy with the triangle.

New Catalog

Wow the new catalog is amazing! I love all the hand-drawn images. Now I must decide what I get. Pick a petal is my very favorite. I also like Zoofari and the Punch Box. I have two parties to go to so I will be getting both of these...plus a few retired that I am buying!

I bought Delight in Life NUM off the SCS Buy/sell/trade for a great price, as well as frolicking frogs, and the 4 square punch that retired. Can't wait to play with these.

More of my Stamping Place

I love my idea to use this longaberger piece for my punch storage. I just got all this rubbermaid plastic drawer storage...doesn't look too bad. I use my longaberger baskets for odds and ends ...you know all the things that need homes so you throw it in the basket. The comfy chair is for my darling husband when he comes up to visit me when I am stamping or tutoring online to pay for my stamping addiction. The chair is placed right in front of a large televison. He can watch his programs and chat with me.

Stamping Space

Okay so here it is...my stamping space! I did have the stamping space blahs until I got everything organized! Woohoo! I did it ...it loooks great...hope it stays somewhat neat. This room is the so called "bonus" room above our garage. It is the only upstairs part of our house. The room is mine...all mine! I am so lucky! I am uploading all the pictures I took. if anyone has a question about what I did with storage, just ask away!

Birthday Party Invite

Here is my darling daughter's birthday party invite. She is turning 9 this weekend. I had the idea of using a flip flop theme, but she came up with the phrase, "Flop On Over". She is so creative! Together, we come up with some cool creations. The doodle this alphabet was used for the cool phrase. The border of flops is the $1 Michael's Flip Flop stamp that I finally got to use!! The big flip flop is from the 2 step die cut for my Cuttlebug. My daughter wanted to use a hot pink color and black since she is having a karaoke sleepover. I used cardstock from my LSS, I didn't want to use my SU cardstock! The polka dot backgroun from Polka Dots and Paisley's is on the flip flop. The bling flower is from Making Memories which I bought at my LSS. I used stickes in black, clear, and silver on the other flops, as well as the flower on the doodle this "n". Of course, this was the 3rd card idea. My daughter was so frustrated by the time we finally agreed on the design. She is not as picky as me. I think it turned out great! Of course, the inside was just printed from the computer.

Graduation Card

I love this graduation card! I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the back with divine swirls in white. Before embossing, I stamped in Cranberry Crisp the Congratulations.
I then used my Cricut and Mini Monograms to cut out the scalloped circles in CCrisp and marigold morning. The card is Cranberry crisp and ribbon is from a LSS. I used CCrisp and Mmorning to stamp the image from Happy Harmony. I think it came out great. I got the idea from a fellow SCS. I used the minimates I Did It Stamp on the Envelope. The congratulations stamp is from $1 bin at Micheals.

Mothers Day

My mom's mothers day card is shown here. Can you tell I love doodle this?? I cased this idea from SCS...I think I changed it a little. I used a button sticker from Doodlebug (I think), I used more mustard CS, pumpkin pie ink, and chocolate chip CS/Ink. I also used a Mother's Day Stamp from Stampabilities that I bought at Hobby Lobby. This is one of my favorite cards.

Happy Birthday Carter!

My nephew's birthday was April 2. I was a little late making the card due to wating on supplies. I completey CASED this card from SCS. I don't remember who from so I can't give proper credit. The CS is brillant blue and I used all the Bold Brights INK, and accessories. The stamp set is SU's Bugs and Kisses.

Secretary's Day- Card #2

Don't you just love the Doodles from the Spring Mini? This card I used the large flower from Doodle This. I used my aqua painter to color in the flowers with pretty in pink and yo yo yellow. I found that the aqua painter softened up the yo yo yellow to make it more pale. I used pink gingham ribbon, the tag punches, yo you yellow and Gable Green Cardstock. Of course, I used Gable Green brads for the center of the flowers! The "thanks so much" is from the Clear $1 Studio G stamps. Sorry the image is blurry.

Secretary's Day

I needed to make two cards for the secretary's at my daughters school and one for the secretary at my school. Of course after doing a search on SCS...I came up with some ideas. Here is one of them..... This one is using Only Orange, Pixie Pink, and Tempting Turquoise SU cs, white CS from LSS, Orange Gingham Ribbon from walmart, Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise, and only Orange SU ink. I used sponge daubers for the flowers. I love the way they come out. I learned this technique from my SU demo. I bought the sponge daubers at JoAnns. The sentiment is from the Clear Studio G dollar stamps available at Michaels. More importanly, I used the Doodle This flower for the flower image.

Will I Ever Get to Stamp?

I am starting to wonder if I will ever get to stamp. I always have something to do or somewhere to go. I have stamp sets not even used and many barely used. I can't wait until summer when I can "Stamp It Up" all the time. I am excited I am going to a SU party this week, maybe I will be inspired to Stamp Late this week. Working full time, two kids, going to the gym, tutoring online (my partime gig to support my addiction) and housecleaning seem to occupy all my time.

This week, I have Friday off, but I am having a HUGE yard sale and my daughter has a Girl Scout Sleepover for which I am chaperoning. :(

Here is a simple birthday card I made using my new cuttlebug. I have cuttlebugitis. This little bug just makes the cutest most awesome cards. I used Bravo Burgundy Stamping Up cardstock and Night of Navy. I think this makes an awesome MALE birthday card. Nothing girl is on the card: no ribbon, no pink...nothing cutesy. Just plain and simple!

How I Began Stamping!

The summer of 2006, my daughter and I attended a stamp activity session at the library. I thought this activity would be fun for mother and daughter. I was slightly disappointed that the kids were separated from the adults, but overcame the disappointment when the stamping instruction began. (Abby was having a good ol' time stamping away at the kids table!) Little did I know I would become addicted after I just one little card. I was fascinated by the simplicity of stamping. I always thought I wasn't talented enough artistically, boy was I wrong. Stamping is easy and if you make a mistake...it just adds character or more paper to your trash. We made two simple little cards that night. I had so much fun. I booked a party that night and have been addicted to stamping ever since.
